Profile
Heather Ann Clements, Ph.D., is professor of Systematic Theology in the Division of Religion and Philosophy in the School of Theology. She is a third-generation northern Appalachian migrant and a widely published author on the Appalachian religion, as well as church history, and culture and women in religion. In 2001, Clements wrote the book Women, Music, and Faith in Central Appalachia: Studies in Women and Religion. She is co-authoring Daughters of the Mountain South, University of West Virginia Press, 2009. Clements has also been interviewed for her expertise concerning religion and theology for print and radio.
