About SBM
The School of Business and Management (SBM) provides professional career preparation
in accordance with the university's Christian heritage and mission. To this
end, SBM has built a reputation for pragmatic and ethically based education.
The curriculum blends with the liberal studies foundation provided by other
schools or departments of the university.
SBM offers a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Economics and five Bachelor of Science degrees. The B.A. degrees require students to complete the common professional component (the business core) and then select elective courses deemed most appropriate for their career objectives. The B.S. degrees require students to complete the business core and courses in an area of specialization: accounting, business economics, finance, international business, or marketing. A minor in ethnic studies is also available.
Azusa Pacific University’s graduate programs in business and management provide advanced professional education that can lead to or enhance a career in a variety of settings, including business, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Careers in such areas become more demanding each day. As a result, business leaders need a wide range of management skills. A firm grounding in these skills is gained from courses grouped and selected around broad overviews of organizational activity. The School of Business and Management offers the following graduate degrees: Master of Business Administration (MBA) (traditional), Young Executive MBA (accelerated), MBA Online, Master of Arts in Human Resource and Organizational Development (MHROD) (traditional), and Young Executive MHROD (accelerated). These experience-based programs offer students the most relevant education possible.
