Azusa Pacific University’s Center for Research in Science (CRIS) hosts Rebecca Flietstra, Ph.D., professor of biology at Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, Calif.

FACTS:
Flietstra will discuss, from a biological and psychological perspective, the human need for love, for true relationship, which may be most intense in the early years, but is still crucial throughout adulthood. Many studies have shown that loving relationships and communities can be associated with good physical and mental health.
 
Flietstra earned a B.A. at Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Mich. and her Ph.D. from the University of Kansas Medical Center.
