APU Professor Awarded Scholarly Achievement Award

AZUSA, Calif. –
Coarsegold, Calif. resident Kevin Reimer, Ph.D., an associate professor of psychology at Azusa Pacific University, received the Graduate Scholarly Achievement Award for 2006, which recognizes Reimer's excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
"It's a tremendous honor to receive this award," said Reimer. "I greatly value and appreciate APU, and this validation in turn is immensely gratifying."
Reimer holds a notable list of grant-funding research programs and publications. he is co-author od The Reciprocating Self: Human Development in Theological Perspectives and is currently working on A Peaceable Therapeutic. Reimer's areas of reseach include moral identity in adolescence, altruistic love, and spiritual transformation.
Reimer holds a bachelor's degree in biological sciences and English from the University of California, Davis; an M.Div. in Christian Studies in Ethics from Recent College, Vancouver, Canada; and a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary's Graduate School of Psychology, Pasadena, Calif. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship at the Unversity of Oxford (Wycliffe Hall) in Oxford, U.K. Bringing five years of teaching experience in psychology at the college level, Reimer joined APU's Graduate School of Psychology in 2004.
