STTI Membership Criteria 2005 Biennium

Undergraduate students must:

  • Have completed half of the nursing curriculum
  • Have at least a GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 grading scale)
  • Rank in the upper 35 percentile of graduating class
  • Meet the expectation of academic integrity

RN students must:

  • Have completed 12 credit hours at current school
  • Have completed half of the nursing curriculum
  • Have at least a GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 grading scale)
  • Rank in the upper 35 percentile of graduating class
  • Meet the expectation of academic integrity

Graduate students (Master's and Doctorate) must:

  • Have completed a fourth of the nursing curriculum
  • Have at least a GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4.0 grading scale)
  • Meet the expectation of academic integrity

Nurse Leaders must:

  • Be a registered nurse and legally recognized to practice in his/her country
  • Hold at least a baccalaureate degree in nursing or other related field
  • Have demonstrated achievement in nursing

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a nurse qualify for membership after graduation?
Potential members with at least a baccalaureate degree and who have demonstrated achievement in nursing may apply for membership as a Nurse Leader. Degrees are expected to be in nursing; however, a baccalaureate degree in another related field is acceptable.

Are RN's eligible for membership if they have graduated from an associate degree or diploma program?
RN's are only eligible if they have since or also earned a baccalaureate degree.
