Intern Grant Program
What is the Intern Grant Program?
Who is eligible to participate?
What are the benefits of being in the IGP?
- Reimbursement for their intern credential application fee
- Eligibility to be reimbursed for up to $500 of professional expenses per semester
- Free workshops and materials
- Financial support to the intern’s school district to fund teacher aids, such as support providers and substitute teachers
- Provision for increased staff, faculty, and mentor support from the university
Additionally, intern credentials are beneficial in that they enable teachers to hold full-time positions while earning their certification. Earning this credential through APU provides the added opportunity of simultaneously earning a master’s degree in education.
