Profile
Daniel Lawson, Ph.D., began his career in public education in the Los Angeles Unified School District. He was a classroom teacher, school principal, and district administrator for more than 35 years. He came to APU after his retirement on July 1, 2000, and he currently teaches the following topics: strength-based leadership for teaching and learning, diversity and equity, and building and sustaining community. His research interests include: effective schools, opportunities to learn, learning organizations, and principal leadership.
