Profile
Passionately committed to preparing special and general educators to retain their heart and vision for teaching as a ministry, Ann M. Hagmaier, Ph.D., has 25 years of experience in classroom teaching, educational consulting, teacher training, and higher education. Her professional interests include “closing the learning gap” for underachieving students, training teachers in reading interventions, and designing assessment-driven instructional models. She is currently conducting research on the equity issues and possibilities for distance learning and assistive technologies, nonverbal intelligence, and the future direction of special education and differentiated instruction. In addition, she is studying 90/90/90 schools and how to carry the achievement gained in those programs into the secondary grades. She is also working to create a resource network to address the issues of attrition and burnout among teachers.
