Estimated Costs 2009

Students enrolled in the field-based program receive a tuition discount, which is reflected in the costs below. In 2009, students pay 55 percent, in 2010 60 percent, in 2011 65 percent, and in 2012 70 percent of the regular graduate TESOL tuition, which increases $10 or more each year. The estimated costs for tuition, textbooks, housing, and fees for the Field-based Program are roughly $11,000 to $12,000. Note that food and travel costs are not included. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Students will need a check to pay for tuition, housing, and miscellaneous fees the first day of class each term. (ELCI teachers simply check a box to bill ELIC for these expenses.) Books are purchased in July for the entire academic year (two terms) and credit cards may be used at the University Bookstore. Non-ELIC teachers pay a $100 fee to ELIC in terms two to cover costs of hosting classes in Thailand (cash or check only). Credit cards may be used, but there is now a three percent charge for this, and it must be done online, so we recommend you bring a check.
