Profile
Ruth Anna Abigail, Ph.D., is a professor and one of the curriculum specialists for the Center for Adult and Professional Studies (CAPS) at Azusa Pacific University (APU). Abigail works directly with curriculum for the RN to BSN (BSN) and the Bachelor of Arts in Human Development (HDEV) for both the face-to-face and online programs. She also gives leadership to both the face-to-face and online programs of the Master of Arts in Leadership in Organizational Studies (MLOS). Abigail’s research areas include conflict, group dynamics, forgiveness and faith integration.
As a member of APU's faculty since June 1982, Abigail taught in the Communication Studies department before joining the CAPS faculty in 2000. Abigail’s areas of responsibility include the creation, revision, and editing of instructor guides, student guides, and syllabi of all courses in the degree programs in which she specializes. Abigail also serves as the faith integration mentor for the CAPS faculty and is vice-moderator for the Faculty Senate (2008-2009). She also serves on the Faculty Evaluation Council and Master’s Studies Council.
Dr. Abigail is also an accomplished textile artist whose work has been exhibited in the United States and Canada.
