Monthly Statistics
It is an unfortunate fact that criminal incidents occur on college campuses. Most colleges around the country investigate and make public the nature and frequency of crimes. APU follows this practice and believes that reporting this information to the public increases community awareness in preventing criminal activity.
APU encourages victims of crime to report incidents to the Department of Campus Safety regardless of how insignficant the crime may appear. To report a crime, a victim or witness need only call (626) 815-3805. An officer will take the information and make an official report. University administrators receive reports about crime on a regular basis.
Campus Safety officers will also assist victims who want to report crimes to the Azusa Police Department.

Crime Prevention
The Department of Campus Safety continues to increase its efforts to prevent
crime. During the past few years, the university has dramatically improved lighting
in the parking lots and is planning additional improvements. APU has also added
patrol officers to increase coverage of the residence hall areas and is expanding
the card key system.
Students play a key role in the prevention of crime on campus. They should be cautious, careful, and alert in order to reduce the risk of theft or incidents that might compromise their safety. Please use the guidelines for crime prevention listed on this website.
